The 1k event at the WSOP lasted all of two orbits for me. I flopped the nuts twice and got no action, 2 barrelled with middle pair, and on the last hand I ripped J10hh on a Jc8h7h board. An obvious first timer tanked forever and called with middle set. Out 5900ish/6000ish.
I did an interview with Pokerroad Radio during the O/8 tourny about cash game styles vs. buy in amounts. It aired recently and I was happy with the results. I muddled through some sentences and did not always say exactly what I wanted, but all in all I am pleased for my first radio interview. In addition my buddy Nick has been in town for the last few days, a good friend from LA flew in last nite, and my sister's boyfriend is staying with us becuase he has a bowling tournament this week. This will put a strain on my time, but hopefully I just wont have any time and will go deep in today's 1500 PLO.

- I am currently a poker player living in Las Vegas. If poker doesn't work out I will take a serious look into becoming a professional flipper. However, this may be more of a sweat than my current job. For now I am enjoying the profession - the cash games and tourneys. I certainly do not recommend this job for everyone as it is often a grind and, as my wife can atest to, when I have a bad day at work, it's a bad day in general. But I love the competition and I love the game. Gl to you.
